Artist's Statement

My mixed media work and installations evoke a subconscious feeling of urgency told through epic tales conjured up from the depths of memories. With this, I translate the influences of my surroundings and life experiences into deeply personal visions through symbolic imagery. Profoundly influenced by music of all genres, I combine the element of music with a refined drawing style, energetic painting and the delicate mixed media of architectural vellum, gold leaf and hand stitching. I find a successful piece is one that a viewer finds reflected within themselves.
